Turkish giants Besiktas are keen on Newcastle United striker Papiss Cisse.

The Black Eagles are looking to increase their attacking power in the winter transfer window and recently saw Brazilian wizard Ronaldinho resist their advances.

Besiktas remain desperate for signings and, according to Tutto Mercato, are looking towards St. James' Park and Senegalese marksman Cisse.

Cisse, who has struggled for goals this season, has already been linked with leaving the Magpies, with a return to Germany, where he played for Freiburg, mooted.

His future though could be in Turkey if Besiktas can persuade Newcastle to part with him.

Cisse has a contract at Newcastle which runs until the summer of 2017.

He has found the back of the net just once in the Premier League so far this season.
