Juventus coach Antonio Conte has expressed his unhappiness at his side failing to beat Lazio in Serie A, despite having had a man sent off.

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon saw red in the first half of the encounter in Rome after bringing down German striker Miroslav Klose.

Lazio then took the lead when Antonio Candreva converted from the penalty spot.

But Juventus fought back, levelling the game when Fernando Llorente headed the ball home in the 60th minute.

The game ended as a draw, also ending Juventus' remarkable Serie A run of having won their previous 12 games in a row.

And that disappointed Conte, who was still hoping his side could win the match with ten men.

"Ten or eleven does not change our attitude", Conte said post-match.

"We wanted to win because this is our mentality, always, even when after 20 minutes we had our goalkeeper sent off.

"We never gave up trying despite our numerical inferiority and we're sorry to have stopped our winning streak."

Juventus now sit top of Serie A with 56 points from 21 games, a lead of nine points over second-placed Roma, who still have to play this weekend.
