Paris Saint-Germain remain undeterred over Yohan Cabaye, as they prepare a €25m offer for the Newcastle United midfielder.

PSG's reported €17m bid was rejected by the Magpies yesterday, but Laurent Blanc's side have not given up the chase according to Le Parisien.

It is understood that PSG sporting director Olivier Letang is currently in the UK to sort out a deal with negotiations still ongoing.

Cabaye has been a priority for Blanc this season, with PSG linked last summer as well.

And Newcastle may already be preparing for Cabaye's departure, with a €13m bid for Lyon's Clement Grenier believed to be in the pipeline.

Cabaye is not averse to linking up with the French champions, this after Arsenal saw their summer efforts thwarted.

At the time, Newcastle were not best pleased with the timing of the Gunners approach, and Cabaye was subsequently left out of a few matches.

The Frenchman has since won his way back into both Alan Pardew's squad and the France set-up with a World Cup squad berth almost certainly heading his way.

The 28-year-old has bagged himself seven goals and three assists in the Premier League this season and also helped France qualify for Brazil 2014 via the playoffs.
