Inter Milan are awaiting Lazio's verdict over Hernanes, with the Manchester United-linked player's agent set for talks in Italy.

Hernanes is expected to sign for Inter Milan, despite interest from the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, according to Sky Italia.

Walter Mazzarri's side are willing to shell out a transfer fee in the region of €13m for Hernanes, and his agent has travelled to Italy to discuss the move with Lazio.

Lazio had, until recently, attempted to keep Hernanes off the market, with club president Claudio Lotito issuing an "indecent offer" warning as well.

"If there is an offer, we will look at it, but only if it is an indecent proposal", Lotito had said. "€17m? This figure does not match the quality of the player."

In that sense, Lazio accepting a €13m fee could be surprising even if Serie A giants Inter are keen to add to their squad amid poor results.

With Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid also in the picture, though, Lazio could yet decide to look elsewhere for their big offer.

Hernanes has been at Lazio since the summer of 2010 – having arrived from Brazilian outfit Sao Paulo – and has made 156 appearances for them so far.
