Everton striker Lacina Traore does not rule out the possibility of his loan signing from Monaco turning into a permanent one.

Traore has been taken on loan from Monaco until the end of the season – though he is nursing a small injury – after joining the principality club from Anzhi Makhachkala.

He was today presented by Everton manager Roberto Martinez, and given the number 28 shirt.

With Romelu Lukaku out injured, it is a chance for Traore to impress the Goodison Park leaders, and the Ivorian is keeping his options open for the end of 2013/14.

"I belong to Monaco and it's my club, but this is a loan for six months", he told a press conference today.

"So it's a case of looking where we are at the end of the season. And if I can put in some good performances, you just don't know what will happen.

"It's a league which gets lots and lots of top players and lot of media coverage throughout the world. So it's a dream to be here.

"I'm also aware of the World Cup looming. I suppose all players involved will be wanting a chance to get there."
