Inter expect a response from Manchester United within the next few hours over their request to loan Nani until the end of the season.

The Nerazzurri are keen to grab Nani for the remainder of the campaign and believe the player is very much open to the move, if it can be agreed.

Now, according to Sky Italia, Inter are expecting to receive word from Manchester United on whether their proposal is acceptable within the next few hours.

Nani, for his part, is not pushing for the move to go through, but is understood to be willing to head to Italy.

The winger only signed a new contract with Manchester United last year, but doubts over his long-term future at Old Trafford persist.

Boss David Moyes has handed the Portuguese just five Premier League starts so far this season.

Nani is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury and is expected back next month.
