Atletico Madrid have snapped up Diego on loan from Wolfsburg for the remainder of the season.
The Brazilian midfielder spent the 2011/12 campaign on loan at the Vicente Calderon, helping Atletico Madrid win the Europa League.

He has remained a popular figure at Atletico Madrid and the Brazilian has struck a delighted note at completing the move.
"I'm very happy to be with such a big and strong team, one of the best in Europe", he was quoted as saying by Marca.

Diego started his career at Santos before heading to Europe with FC Porto.
From there it was on to Werder Bremen in Germany and, following an unsuccessful spell with Juventus, back to the Bundesliga with Wolfsburg.
