Everton have pulled off some transfer deadline day business by buying goalkeeper Jindrich Stanek from Sparta Prague.

The custodian joins the Toffees on a two-and-a-half-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Stanek is a Czech Republic Under-19 international, however has not managed to record a single appearance for Sparta Prague's first team.

The 17-year-old stands an imposing 6ft 4in tall and will further add to the bank of goalkeepers at Goodison Park.
