Monaco are keeping their options open over a replacement striker for Radamel Falcao, as attempts are made over Dimitar Berbatov and Fabio Quagliarella.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Quagliarella is sitting on an offer from Monaco, while the BBC have put Berbatov's move to the principality as imminent.

Quagliarella is being deemed surplus to requirements at Juventus with Southampton's Pablo Osvaldo set to complete his loan deal today.

Quagliarella is one of two Juventus players seemingly open to a switch, as Mirko Vucinic is put on the exit list as well in Turin.

Berbatov was previously understood to be unhappy with life at Fulham, though his agent had claimed he would only seek another club in the Premier League.

For now, Monaco look keen to recruit a quick replacement, this after allowing new signing Lacina Traore a loan move to Everton.

The former Anzhi Makhachkala forward had been initially surprised at being quickly loaned out, but left his options open over whether or not a permanent move to England was possible.
