Norwich City have confirmed the signing of Joseph Yobo on a loan deal until the end of the season from Fenerbahce, subject to international clearance and governing body approval.

The centre-back, who has previously played in the Premier League with Everton, made 249 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees, scoring ten times.

The Nigerian international started his senior career with Standard Liege in 1998 before moving to Marseille three years later.

Yobo joined Everton on a loan deal in 2002 and made his move permanent the following season.

The 33-year-old spent 2010 and 2011 on loan with Fenerbahce before joining the Turkish club permanently in 2012.

The defender, who has had an injury ravaged campaign this term, has fallen down the pecking order at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium.

Yobo also has 95 caps and seven goals for Nigeria to his name.
