Redknapp is looking to bring in at least one more striker following a shoulder injury suffered by Charlie Austin.

And Keane is a player the QPR boss rates and would love to sign.

"We've been talking to him. I think it's quite close", Redknapp told a press conference.

"He's a young player with fantastic potential.

"So, if we can do something there we will do."

Keane spent time on loan at Wigan Athletic earlier this season and a loan move to QPR would represent a Championship return for the 21-year-old.
