Fulham have completed the signing of midfielder Lewis Holtby on loan from Tottenham Hotspur for the rest of the season.

According to the BBC, the midfielder is already training with the Cottagers, and will boost Rene Meulensteen's squad.

Holtby has been keen to move on from White Hart Lane in search of regular first team football, especially with the World Cup on the horizon.

He had been strongly linked with a return to his native Germany, with both Borussia Dortmund and Schalke interested.

But it is in England that Holtby will stay, making the short journey across London to Fulham.

He joined Spurs in this transfer window last year, completing a move from Schalke.
