Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has admitted that he had "a difficult month" between the sticks for the Reds.

The Belgian conceded five goals in a span of two games in the middle of January, but since recovered and managed to concede just one in his next two matches.

Nevertheless, Mignolet knows he had a tough time, but has brushed that off as par for the course for a goalkeeper.

"I had a difficult month, but you are going to get them as a football player", he was quoted as saying by his club's official site.

"You are never going to get everything go your way and you have to accept that", Mignolet added.

And the former Sunderland custodian insists that he did not change anything about his methods of working, choosing instead to remain "focused".

"I didn't change anything. I just tried to stay focused and do the things I'm asked to do. As a 'keeper I just try to help the team out whenever I can", he added.
