Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed his side have overachieved in relation to the target he set them over the last five league games.

The Reds played Hull City (won 2-0), Stoke City (won 5-3), Aston Villa (drew 2-2), Everton (won 4-0) and West Brom (drew 1-1) in a five-game block identified by Rodgers ahead of time and a group of games he had earmarked ten points from.

And so, despite Liverpool only being able to draw 1-1 against West Brom at the weekend, Rodgers has revealed the team did better than the target he had set for them.

"We're still in a good position", he told his club's site.
