Adel Taarabt is ready to "prove his worth" to Paris Saint-Germain and all his former English clubs after being officially presented as an AC Milan player.

Taarabt, who penned a loan deal until the summer on deadline day, had been close to joining PSG in 2011 – when contracted at Queens Park Rangers – but the move failed.

The Morocco international has been a journeyman within England, having spent several spells out on loan with QPR through Tottenham Hotspur, and also turning out for Fulham this term.

He is currently on loan from QPR, contracted with the Loftus Road club until 2016, but found regular game time hard to come by this season at Craven Cottage when on loan at Fulham.

And he today told a press conference in Milan: "I could have gone to PSG in the past but now I'm here and this is a great opportunity to prove myself.

"It is a big change and I have never played at major clubs such as AC Milan.

"Tottenham, QPR and Fulham are good but are not an organised and professional club like Milan. I cannot wait to show my qualities on the field.

"For me, it was a great joy to know of Milan's interest. There was a lot of enthusiasm and once the formalities that were needed were done, it was a dream come true to get here."
