Robert Lewandowski feels that he has proven his critics wrong by giving his all for Borussia Dortmund this season, despite knowing it would be his last campaign at the club.

The striker refused to sign a contract extension at Dortmund in the summer and recently penned a much-expected deal for next term with Bayern Munich.

So far the Dortmund faithful have been kind to Lewandowski and resisted booing him. And that is something he is not surprised about, feeling they would have no cause to whistle.

"Why would they whistle? I give my all", he told Sport Bild.

"It would be unfair and undeserved.

"Many thought that I did not want to play for Dortmund this season. I think I have proved to all the critics that I want to.

"I want to give the fans a wonderful farewell for the summer."

And to do that, Lewandowski is still targeting winning silverware with the Jurgen Klopp's men.

"My goal is still that I will say goodbye with a title."
