Anderson has denied saying that "lots of players" want to quit Manchester United.

The Brazilian midfielder joined Italian outfit Fiorentina on loan until the end of the season last month, moving to Serie A in search of regular first team football.

He was recently quoted as saying a whole host of players were keen to follow him out of the Old Trafford exit door.

But Anderson has wasted no time in distancing himself from those comments and claimed that the "supposed interview" never took place.

Writing on his Instagram page, Anderson explained: "I'm shocked and surprised [by] a supposed interview that never existed.

"I never gave any interview [and did not] say bad things about a club that I love, a club where I [grew] up and that gave me so much. I’m like [a] fan [of the] club, [I] love the club."

Anderson has made two appearances for Fiorentina in Serie A as part of his loan spell so far.

His contract runs until 2015 with Manchester United.
