Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc was a relieved man to make the French Coupe de la Ligue final, as a "lacking" side clinched victory over Nantes thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Swede had to rescue PSG with a last-minute goal – having scored the opener – as Nantes equalised with nine minutes left in the game via Olivier Veigneau.

Blanc's side now await the winners of tonight's game between Lyon and Troyes, with the final set for mid-April.

And despite the win, Blanc admitted the Ligue 1 champions needed to shake off some bugs, being quoted by the club website as saying: "We lacked freshness and concentration.

"We are in the final, that's fine, we're very happy, but we have time to think because it is played on 19th April.

"Before that, there are important deadlines in the league and in the Champions League."

PSG winter signing Yohan Cabaye, brought over from Newcastle United, had made his debut as a substitute against Bordeaux in the league, and played a similar role yesterday.

"Tonight, the important thing was to win to qualify", he explained. "I played only my second game with Paris, and there is a final and after that a first title win.

"There is time to rethink but I hope we win. There very high goals here; it's exciting!"
