Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has reminded his team-mates that in spite of their 3-0 home win against Atletico Madrid the Copa del Rey semi-final 'tie isn't sealed' yet.

The 27-year-old was one of the top performers during the match and was visibly excited about the outcome.

I’m thrilled with the match and the result. The team did a great job", Ramos told his club's official website.

"The tie isn’t sealed but we’re going home with an advantage that, while it’s not comfortable, is rather good."

Spanish under-21 winger Jese Rodriguez along with fellow winger Angel di Maria and defender Pepe contributed to the scoresheet as the Spanish giants overpowered their local rivals by a relatively convincing scoreline.

And Ramos feels given how Los Rojiblancos have been performing, the result was something to feel "proud" of.

"Atletico Madrid are having a great season and this was a much-anticipated clash. We’re going home proud of the work we’ve done today.

"With games like that you go home proud of having given your all and performing at your peak level."

Los Blancos will now be looking for a repeat of this performance on 11th February at the Vicente Calderon which could well set up a mouth watering El Clasico clash with Barcelona in the final.

The Catalan giants managed to outclass Real Sociedad in the second semi-final match at the Camp Nou, 2-0.
