Remy Cabella is planning to sit down with Montpellier's president at the end of the season to discuss his future at the club.

The playmaker was the subject of interest from Newcastle in the January transfer window, while the Magpies, along with fellow English club Manchester United, have been tipped to move for the Frenchman in the summer.

Montpellier admit that keeping hold of Cabella could be a difficult task, especially if a substantial bid arrives. But nothing is done and dusted yet – and Cabella wants talks.

"We'll see in June what will happen", he explained to AFP.

"I will discuss with the president", he added.

For now though, Cabella is just glad the transfer window has closed, admitting that the constant speculation about his future was starting to get to him.

"I was a little relieved by the end of the transfer window, which had been stressful.

"I want to finish the year as strongly as possible as we have lots of things left to play for."

Montpellier have moved up the Ligue 1 table in recent weeks to sit 14th. They are though still just nine points off the relegation zone.
