Legendary former Brazil and Real Madrid left-back Roberto Carlos believes that AC Milan have made a good decision in giving Clarence Seedorf the coach's job.

Carlos, who is currently coach of Turkish Super Lig side Sivasspor, turned out alongside Seedorf at Real Madrid for four years.

And the Brazilian doesn't just believe Seedorf is poised to be a success at Milan, he also has evidence, in the form of word which has reached him from countryman Kaka.

Carlos told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Seedorf is a good coach.

"He has always been a leader on the pitch, someone who wanted to teach others.

"What Kaka has already told me is that Seedorf understands the players very well.

"But I already knew that as I lived in a house with him for six months."

In five matches in charge of Milan, Seedorf has so far presided over two wins, two defeats and one draw.

The Rossoneri are next in action on Friday night when Bologna are the visitors to the San Siro.
