Hellas Verona will look to exercise their purchase option over Juan Iturbe, the club's director general has confirmed, despite the intense competition from elsewhere.

Iturbe is being followed by the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona, Juventus and AC Milan this season, with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Everton understood to have sent scouts to take in his performances in Serie A too.

The 20-year-old, currently on loan at Verona from FC Porto, himself admitted he would love to one day play for Juventus.

However, Verona could have the final say, at least for this summer, as their director general Giovanni Gardini confirmed the club's intentions.

"The price, not the seller, makes it happen for the buyer", he told Radio24. "We have the right of redemption that we will activate that in June and then see what happens.

"We presented, thanks to the intuition of sporting director, one of the most important talents in the league.

"Let's not forget that we kept Jorginho until January, and the same goes for Iturbe.

"All young people who, thanks to the work of the coach, allowed us to present something of a certain strength and a certain asset value."
