Manchester United legend Paul Scholes believes that Darren Fletcher's return to action this season is a measure of his determination.

Fletcher has suffered with a bowl condition which has severely curtailed his playing time over the last three years.

However, he made his Manchester United playing return over the festive period and is so far on five Premier League appearances with David Moyes' men in the current campaign.

And Scholes is delighted the Scot is now back in the reckoning.

"It’s great to see him back after the horrendous problems he’s had", the former midfielder explained to MUTV.

"It says everything about him, he’s a determined man.

"You can see that when he plays he’s got a lot of fight about him and over these last couple of years he’s had to show a lot of fight and determination to get back where he is."

Fletcher has started in two of Manchester United's last four games and will hope to get the vote to feature against Arsenal this evening.
