Rising Argentina defender Tiago Casasola is well aware of his dream club Barcelona's interest, though he denied any official contact had been made.

Casasola recently helped Argentina's Under-20 side lift the Atlantic Cup trophy by beating Spain in the final.

The 18-year-old is understood to be followed by the likes of Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan as well, but has eyes only for Barcelona.

Casasola, who currently plays for Boca Juniors in Argentina, told Spanish outlet Infonorte Digital: "In Spain I would obviously play for FC Barcelona.

"It ‚Äčis what every player wants. But officially, I do not know if there has been some contact.

"I know there was an interest, but then to be something official… they have not contacted me, at least me [personally, ed.]."

In Argentina, Casasola is seen as being in the same mould as Barcelona's Gerard Pique, while he has a relatively small release clause of €5m.
