Clarence Seedorf has backed his former AC Milan teammate and current charge Kaka to make the World Cup squad with Brazil this summer.

Coach Seedorf enjoyed many successful years with Kaka as a player, and is now working to ensure the playmaker's second spell at the club is equally profitable.

Milan are currently struggling in Serie A, while Kaka last played for Brazil in March 2013.

Kaka's age could be the key factor in whether or not Luiz Felipe Scolari announces a recall, though Seedorf has no doubts of his own.

"He is not here just to go to the World Cup," he told a press conference relayed by Tuttomercato.

"He is here to help Milan grow and, in turn, Milan helps him to go to the World Cup.

"According to me, he has a great chance to go. He is doing very well in the Milan shirt, and if this continues he will go to Brazil."

Kaka's return to Milan from Real Madrid was marred by injury, but he returned in October and has since scored five goals in Serie A.
