Philipp Lahm believes that Toni Kroos should think twice before deciding to leave Bayern Munich, with "few alternatives" able to match up to the European champions.

Kroos has been in and out of the team under coach Pep Guardiola and has not been shy about showing his unhappiness with that situation.

Added into the pot is a contract which is due to expire in 2015, along with persistent links to English giants Manchester United. And with Kroos and Bayern Munich not able to find an agreement over an extension at present, an exit is looking more and more likely.

But club captain Lahm wants the midfielder to think long and hard before walking through the Allianz Arena door.

"It is normal to consider possibilities and negotiate", the defender told Sport Bild.

"But if you already play for Bayern Munich, there are few alternatives, if any.

"It is, in my opinion, an absolute privilege to play here because this team simply have a winning mentality.

"Many players want to come to Bayern, so be very careful and think before leaving such a club at the moment.".
