Everton manager Roberto Martinez has waved away speculation that Manchester United are close to doing a deal for Seamus Coleman.
It had been suggested that the Red Devils are closing on Coleman, a man current Manchester United boss David Moyes knows well from his own spell in charge of Everton.

But Martinez has wasted little time in rubbishing such talk, telling a press conference: "It must be a different Seamus Coleman [being linked with Manchester United] because we've never had any conversations with anyone.
"The truth is Seamus has been having a very good season and we want that to continue.

"He's becoming a very important player at Everton.
"We want Seamus to be here for a very long time."
The 25-year-old has turned out 26 times for Everton in the Premier League this season, contributing six goals to the cause.
His contract at Goodison Park runs until 2018.
