Former Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas claims the decision to take over at Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg was an easy one to make.
Villas-Boas, who was sacked by Tottenham in December for failing to convince the club hierarchy that he could lead the side into the Champions League, has penned a two-and-a-half year contract with Zenit.

The Portuguese is picking up around €8.5m per year at the Russian Premier League outfit, but insists it was more due to footballing reasons that he signed on the dotted line.
"To be quite honest it was not a difficult decision because Zenit are a famous club in Europe", Villas-Boas explained to reporters.
