David Moyes believes that all Manchester United fans are all behind him, with a banner flown from a plane calling for his sacking before today's Aston Villa match making no difference to his view.

Manchester United thrashed Aston Villa 4-1 at Old Trafford, with Wayne Rooney scoring a brace and Juan Mata and Javier Hernandez scoring a goal apiece.

Pressure had been placed on Moyes before the match after a group of fans paid for a banner to be flown over the ground which read "Wrong One, Moyes Out".

But the Manchester United boss is sure that all of the club's fans understand the situation he is working in and back him, and was undoubtedly boosted by fans booing as the banner flew overhead.

"Ever since I’ve been at Manchester United, I’ve only had support", he explained to MUTV.

"I don’t [know] where people are trying to change this from but I believe that all Manchester United supporters are behind me and they all understand the situation we are in.

"The players are incredibly focused, that was an important thing as I wanted the focus to be right."

Manchester United's win still sees the side sit seventh in the Premier League table, while they return to Champions League action on Tuesday night with a visit from Bayern Munich in the first leg of their quarter-final tie.
