Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is proud of his team-mates and believes that club have again proved their doubters wrong with a big performance on a big stage.
Bayern Munich are odds on favourites to win their quarter-final tie against Manchester United, but were held to 1-1 draw in the first leg at Old Trafford courtesy of some resolute defending and a Nemanja Vidic header.

The Spaniard believes that the Red Devils have again produced a big performance when it really mattered and gave Bayern Munich a fight when it was believed that the Bavarians would easily qualify for the semi-finals.
“This is a big club and at difficult moments is when you stand up and show people how big you are.

“I am pleased with that – people thought it was going to be easy for Bayern and we have produced a big performance”, the 23-year-old told UEFA’s official site.
The former Atletico Madrid goalkeeper is satisfied with the team’s performance. He praised the desire and commitment showed by the team and believes that they could have even won the first leg.
“We are satisfied. We feel we played really well – it was a big effort against a very strong opponent. We might even have won.”
De Gea will again man the posts when Manchester United visit the Allianz Arena to again take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter-final tie on 9th April. At 1-1 the tie is poised for a tight finish.
