Alexander Buttner was more than happy with this performance during Manchester United’s 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie at Old Trafford on Tuesday.
Buttner replaced the suspended Patrice Evra after the Frenchman picked up his second yellow card in as many matches against Olympiacos in the second leg of their Champions League Round of 16 tie.

Buttner is pleased with his performance in shackling his fellow Dutchman Arjen Robben, a player who was a constant source of threat from the Germans’ right flank.
"I believe in myself and my qualities. Of course, for me, Robben is the best right-winger in the world and a really good player”, the 25-year-old told the club’s official site.

The former Vitesse defender was confident with his preparations to take on Robben and was more than pleased with the end result.
“I watched a lot of videos so I knew what he does and what kind of actions he makes. It was nice to stop him."
Buttner joined Manchester United in 2012 from Dutch club Vitesse as an understudy to Evra.
The Frenchman will be available for the return leg, but the Dutchman hopes his performance will give the Manchester United manager David Moyes something to ponder about when they prepare to take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their quarter-final tie at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday 9th April.
