The former Fiorentina striker thinks that Manchester City’s league title success in the 2011/12 season, which they won in the last minute of the season after a tough title race involving their neighbours Manchester United, will give them an edge in this season’s race for the title.

Manchester City just had to beat Queens Park Rangers to secure the title. Manchester United won their game against Sunderland but the drama was unfolding at the Etihad stadium. Pablo Zabaleta gave the Citizens the lead in the 39th minute, but Djibril Cisse scored the equaliser three minutes into the second half. Jamie Mackie put the Londoners ahead in the 66th minute and at this point Manchester United were winning the title.
