Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic is sure that the Citizens will beat Liverpool this coming Sunday at Anfield, and win all their seven remaining league games to win the title.

Jovetic, who has seen increased action due to a Sergio Aguero injury, maintains that the destiny of the Premier League title lies in Manchester City’s hands.

“We must believe we can win all seven games, because we can do what we want, but it is important that we are in pole position”, the Montenegrin told his club’s official site.

“The next game against Liverpool will decide a lot of things, but even if we win that game there are more hard games to come.”

The former Fiorentina striker thinks that Manchester City’s league title success in the 2011/12 season, which they won in the last minute of the season after a tough title race involving their neighbours Manchester United, will give them an edge in this season’s race for the title.

“This squad has a lot of experience because we won the Premier League two years ago.

"We know how to play and keep the pressure down, and I think Liverpool have more pressure – I think we are going to win.”

The 2011/12 Premier League season was decided virtually in the last minute of the season. Manchester City and Manchester United went to the last day of the season with an equal number of points, but the former had a superior goal difference.

Manchester City just had to beat Queens Park Rangers to secure the title. Manchester United won their game against Sunderland but the drama was unfolding at the Etihad stadium. Pablo Zabaleta gave the Citizens the lead in the 39th minute, but Djibril Cisse scored the equaliser three minutes into the second half. Jamie Mackie put the Londoners ahead in the 66th minute and at this point Manchester United were winning the title.

In the 92nd minute Edin Dzeko scored the equaliser, but that was not good enough as Manchester City needed to equal or better Manchester United’s result. In the dying minutes of the season Argentine striker Aguero popped up and scored the winner in the 95th minute to win the league title for Manchester City on superior goal difference.
