Manchester United boss David Moyes has insisted that the Red Devils failing to qualify for next season's Champions League will not affect their ability to sign players in the summer.

Moyes's men went down to a 3-1 defeat to Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final this evening, leading to a 4-2 exit on aggregate.

With Manchester United sitting seventh in the Premier League, they are all set to miss out on Champions League football for the first time in 18 seasons.

But Moyes says that will not affect his transfer budget or the attractiveness of the Red Devils.

"[The transfer budget] had nothing to do with Champions League football", Moyes told Sky Sports when asked.

"I think the ones who quietly someone has had a word in their ear are keen to come.

"They are keen to join such a great club."

Moyes has been linked with making a number of signings in the summer as he bids to lead Manchester United back into the Premier League's top four next term.
