Liverpool legend and current director Kenny Dalglish believes the club have recaptured the feeling they used to have in their glory days.

The Reds have not won a top flight title since 1990, when Dalglish was in charge as manager, but are back at the top of the league now, with just five games left to play.

Dalglish is full of praise for current manager Brendan Rodgers, along with everyone throughout the club and from his spot as a non-executive director at Anfield, the Scot is perfectly placed to report on the spirit at the Merseyside giants.

"The club has got the feeling back that it used to have – and that's fantastic", he told the club's site.

"Everybody is in it together, and I think that's a fantastic asset that has been installed in the players. Brendan has done a fantastic job, bringing them all together and getting them all playing for and with each other.

"Off the pitch, the football club is very healthy as well. Everything is moving onwards and upwards, and hopefully it continues."

Liverpool can take another step towards the Premier League title this coming Sunday when they host third-placed Manchester City at Anfield.
