Real Madrid could be without Cristiano Ronaldo for next week's Copa del Rey final.

Ronaldo has been struggling with a knee injury and the Spanish giants have conducted a number of tests to assess its severity.

The club said today in a statement: "The tests conducted on Cristiano Ronaldo have detected a muscular injury to his left hamstring."

That puts Ronaldo in doubt for next week's Copa del Rey final against Barcelona.

He could even miss Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final first leg through the injury.

Real Madrid saw off Borussia Dortmund 3-2 on aggregate to book a spot in the competition's last four earlier this week.
