Rodgers guided his side to a full 15 points in March and having scored on 18 occasions they won against Manchester United with a whopping margin of 3-0, besides also beating Cardiff City 6-3, Southampton 3-0, Tottenham Hotspur 4-0 and Sunderland 2-1.

The Uruguayan striker netted six out of the 18 goals scored in March and reached a total of 29 strikes in 28 league appearances, thereby becoming the top scorer in the Premier League season so far.

Englishman Gerrard, who won the award for the sixth time in his career, played a key role in their win against the Red Devils by netting two penalties and found the net two other times in the month.

Liverpool, currently leading the table just two points ahead of Chelsea, will be looking to continue their incredible form when they take on fellow title contenders Manchester City on Sunday.
