Bayern Munich coach Pep Guardiola has bemoaned his side's 3-0 home defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga today.

Dortmund took the lead in the 20th minute through Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but had to wait until the second half to double their advantage when Marco Reus struck in the 49th minute.

Jurgen Klopp's men then sealed the deal in the 56th minute as Jonas Hoffmann converted.

Insult was added to injury for Bayern Munich when Rafinha was shown a red card in injury time.

"We couldn't get our passing game going and we were too slow to build [moves]", Guardiola explained post-match.

The Spaniard also insisted that he did not want to take any risks with players, having withdrawn goalkeeper Manuel Neuer at half time, Franck Ribery in the 60th minute and Arjen Robben in the 69th minute.

"We didn't want to take any risks. For us, it was more important players are fit for Wednesday [against Kaiserslautern in the cup]."
