Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho was the cause of a trip to Portugal for scouts from both Juventus and Inter this weekend.

The Portugal international has been tipped to move to Manchester United this coming summer, with the Red Devils very keen on snapping up the starlet.




But the English champions do not look set to have a clear run at William and the midfielder was watched against Belenenses on Saturday by scouts from Juventus and Inter; Sporting Lisbon won the match 1-0.

According to Portuguese daily O Jogo, scouts from Monaco, Manchester City and Real Madrid were also in attendance at the Primeira Liga clash.

William has impressed with the Portuguese giants so far this season and is tipped to shine with Portugal at this summer's World Cup.

The 22-year-old has made 27 appearances in the Primeira Liga for Sporting Lisbon, chipping in with four goals in the process.

The capital club have him locked to a contract until 2018.
