Manchester United starlet Adnan Januzaj has opted to represent Belgium at international level.

The 19-year-old, who has enjoyed a breakthrough season at Old Trafford, was born in Belgium, but could have represented a number of countries on the international stage on account of his parentage.

Belgium, Albania, Turkey, Serbia and Kosovo were all bidding for Januzaj to pull on their shirt, while he could have played for England in 2018.

But the winger has decided his future likes with the international Red Devils.

Januzaj's decision has been welcomed by Belgium coach Marc Wilmots.

"Received official confirmation that Adnan Januzaj has made himself available to spend the rest of his career in Belgian colours", the coach said via Twitter.

"It's good news that such a talented player is available for selection."
