Inter have been rebuffed by Manchester United winger Nani, who wants to play for a team able to offer Champions League football next season.

The Nerazzurri have long been fans of the Portuguese winger and have been hoping to tempt him to the San Siro this coming summer.

But according to FC Inter News, the Italian giants have discovered that the former Sporting Lisbon starlet is out of reach.

Nani is keen to leave Old Trafford to sign for a club due to compete in the Champions League, something Inter, sitting fifth in Serie A, will be unable to offer.

The Italian outfit are also understood to feel they cannot match the salary package Nani is looking for, a second and deadly blow to their ambitions of signing the Manchester United man.

Nani has featured just ten times in the Premier League for the Red Devils so far this season.

His contract at Old Trafford runs until the summer of 2018.
