Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has insisted that his side will be prepared for a tough game against Chelsea on Sunday, despite the Blues missing a clutch of players through injury and suspension.

The Stamford Bridge club will miss the services of Petr Cech and John Terry, who were injured during their Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Brazilian international Ramires will also not feature due to a four-game ban for violent conduct.

And with the second leg clash against Atletico Madrid looming on the horizon, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has hinted that he may field a weakened side at Anfield.

However Mignolet, who explained Liverpool are not “reading too much into it”, declared that his side are only thinking about themselves.

But the Belgian international was quick to add that despite the absentees Chelsea still have a good squad at their disposal.

"We don't really read too much into that", Mignolet told his club’s official site.

"It's more about us and about what we have to do, rather than looking at someone else.

“We have to make sure that we're ready for the game, like we've done so far this season. It doesn't make any difference.

"Chelsea have got a very good team, they have got lots of quality players throughout their squad. We'll very much be prepared for a tough game again.”
