Juventus midfielder Claudio Marchisio is disappointed at conceding a late goal against Benfica that allowed the Portuguese team to gain an advantage before the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie next week in Turin.

Lima scored in the 84th minute to help Benfica register a 2-1 win over Juventus in the first leg of their Europa League semi-final tie at the Estadio da Luz last night.

“It was important to score at least one goal, it's a pity to have conceded the second late on because we had more chances than Benfica in the second half”, the Italian told UEFA’s official site.

The 28-year-old believes that Juventus were the better team last night but admits that the Bianconeri should have at least drawn in Lisbon.

“We could and we should have kept the draw, at least. We did not manage to but we will try to turn things around in the return leg.”

Marchisio has made ten appearances for Juventus at the heart of their engine room in Europe this season and has assisted a solitary goal.

Juventus will host Benfica next Thursday at the Juventus Stadium for the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie.
