Brendan Rodgers believes that Liverpool will be an "exciting attraction" for players this coming summer, as he explained his plans to strengthen the squad at Anfield in preparation for the return of Champions League football.

Sitting top of the Premier League table, Liverpool can mathematically finish no lower than third and are assured of a spot in next season's Champions League group stage.

That means Rodgers will need to add to his squad, especially as the club have had no European football at all this year.

And he expects Liverpool to be able to attract the cream of the crop.

"We're in the Champions League now. We've got to have depth.

"Certainly this summer Liverpool Football Club becomes a real exciting attraction for players", he concluded.
