Adnan Januzaj is serving as a source of inspiration for young Manchester United talents Reece James, Saidy Janko and Charni Ekangamene.

The trio have all been nominated for the Reserve Player of the Year award at the club, an accolade collected by Januzaj last year.

And the winger went on the make the breakthrough to the club's senior ranks this season, being rewarded with a new long-term contract in the process.

James, Janko and Ekangamene all admit that is firmly in their thoughts having been nominated for the same award just 12 months' later.

"Look at who won it last season, Adnan, and what he has done since then. We all strive to do that ourselves", James told the club's site.

Janko added: "Adnan won it last year and now he's in the first team and is in contention for the overall Player of the Year."

The pair's views were echoed by Ekangamene, who made his thoughts clear, commenting: "Adnan went on to win the award and he's with the first team now so it's a great example for all of us."
