Atletico Madrid midfielder Tiago has paid tribute to the club's coach Diego Simeone after Los Rojiblancos booked their spot in the Champions League final.

Simeone masterminded a 3-1 victory against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge tonight, goals from Adrian (44th minute), Diego Costa (penalty, 60th minute) and Arda Turan (72nd minute) too much for the Blues' lone strike from Fernando Torres (34th minute).

Atletico Madrid are now looking at a potential Champions League and La Liga double, given they are also top of the league in Spain with a four-point lead over Barcelona with three games left to play.

And Tiago has identified Simeone as the difference-maker.

"I think Simeone has a lot to do with that", the Portuguese told Sky Sports post-match.

"He changed our mentality, we all work together, we work as a team, playing like we play we are the strongest team in the world.

"We don't have anything at the moment, but we are close to having something", Tiago concluded.

Atletico Madrid will meet Real Madrid in the Champions League final on 24th May in Lisbon.
