West Ham United skipper and midfielder Kevin Nolan is hopeful his team can turn the tables around on a disastrous last few matches and beat Tottenham Hotspur for the third time this year, when the two sides face each other on Saturday.

The Hammers have failed to win any of their four games this month, and currently 14th in the league table, they are just five points off the relegation zone.

Sam Allardyce’s side have already defeated Spurs at White Hart Lane twice this season in the league and in a cup fixture, and will be hoping to complete their hat-trick when Tim Sherwood’s side visit the Boleyn Ground this weekend.

And Nolan believes his side can clinch a win in their last home game of the season, as they look to bag an important three points to mathematically secure their safety in the Premier League.

“We know we can finish off the season at home in a nice way by putting Tottenham to bed for the third time this season”, the 31-year-old told the club’s official site.

We know we will have to work hard for it, and something the lads will have to look forward this week is making sure we get over the line ourselves and not wait for someone else to do it for us.

“We need to draw on the positives of what we've done this season against Tottenham. Hopefully, come the end of the game, we will be celebrating another win over them and another year in the Barclays Premier League”, the Englishman concluded.

The Irons will face title contenders Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in their last league game of the season on 11th May.
