Juvetus defender Giorgio Chiellini believes that their dream of winning the Europa League this year is in their "own hands".

The Bianconeri are preparing to overturn the disappointment of the 2-1 loss to Benfica last week to book a place in the final of the tournament later tonight.

Even though the task is going to be difficult, the 29-year-old believes that his team have enough good players to turn things around in their favour.

The Italian international feels that his team have to hold firm in defence and demonstrate their well-proven attacking qualities to beat Benfica and progress.

“It’s important not to concede, because I’m convinced we’ll be able to net one ourselves given the attacking capabilities we possess", Chiellini told his club's official site.

“We need to make sure we avoid the errors made in the first leg, a game I believe we deserved more from at the time and even more so after viewing it back.”

Speaking about the desire to go on to secure their first European trophy since 1996, the former Fiorentina player said: “We have no fear, only a strong desire to put in a good performance and win it.

"We know that the opportunity to continue this extraordinary season and Europa League dream is in our own hands.”
