Manchester City are facing an anxious wait over Sergio Aguero's fitness, manager Manuel Pellegrini has admitted.

Aguero scored the first goal in Manchester City's 3-2 win over Everton at Goodison Park this evening, drilling a low shot past Tim Howard.

However, he was forced off soon afterwards, midway through the second half, with what appeared to be groin trouble.

Now the Argentine will have to be assessed amid fears he could miss the club's final two games of the Premier League season.

Asked about the verdict on Aguero by Sky Sports, Pellegrini replied: "I don't know.

"We will see tomorrow."

Manchester City are now top of the Premier League with 80 points, ahead of Liverpool on goal difference.
