Interest from a club like Real Madrid is always flattering, but Bayern Munich was always on the top of the list, Poland striker Robert Lewandowski has stated.

The 25-year-old signed a pre-contract agreement with Bayern Munich in January, agreeing on a five-year deal with the German giants which is to be finalised in June.

Spanish giants Real Madrid had also shown keen interest in signing the highly talented striker, but in the end Lewandowski chose Bayern Munich to remain in Germany.

"Of course you are flattered when a club like Real show interest, but Bayern were top of my list," Lewandowski told UEFA's official site.
