Amidst rumours that he is in line to become the next AC Milan manager, Filippo Inzaghi admits that he has had no communication from the club.

The 40-year-old is the manager of the youth team of AC Milan and speculation about him being the next manager of the senior team has reached a crescendo in the last few days.

“I'm here [at the Vismara training ground] because I am the coach of the Primavera team. We have training today”, Inzaghi told the club’s official site.

Inzaghi categorically stated that he has had no communication from the club about him taking over the reins of the first team.

“I have a contract with the club [until June 2016], and I haven't been notified of anything.”

The former Italian striker admits he is flattered by the rumours of him being the next AC Milan manager and has said he will take any responsibility that club want him to take.

“Of course, it gives me a lot of emotion to read what has been reported in recent days.

“I am at the club's disposal.”

Inzaghi joined Milan from Juventus in 2001 for a transfer fee of £17m. Before retiring at the club in 2012, the Italian won two league titles, one Italian Cup and two Champions League crowns with the Rossoneri.
